TEDxToronto 2011 marks the second year Creative Niche has sponsored TEDxToronto and the after-party. We are delighted to be a part of the TEDx events as they align well with our philosophy of continued learning and professional development. Nichers from both the Toronto and Ottawa offices attended TEDxToronto at the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning and the after-party Dark Carnival of the Unexpected at the Steamwhistle Roundhouse.
This year's event theme was redefinition - something that Creative Niche is very familiar with as we often see candidates having to redefine their roles and clients redefine their business. The caliber of this year’s speakers were impressive and included former Toronto mayor David Miller and the co-founder of Movember Adam Garone. Equally as impressive was the peek into the future of technology with the mind reading applications being developed by Ariel Garten, CEO and Co-Founder of InteraXon, reminiscent of Taylor Gilbert's Favourite TED Talk video.
After an inspiring day, the Nichers headed over to the TEDxToronto after-party for some pampering from Aveda, amazing high-flying acrobatic entertainment from IlluminAir Entertainment and dancing to live band/DJ Damn Akyroyd. Our team was highly impressed with the evenings events.
On behalf of Creative Niche, we would like to thank this year's organizing committee for an amazing and well run day and night. We were honoured to be a part of it.
