9065 Creative Director - Experiential – New York City, USA  | Permanent

The Creative Director is a senior leadership position on our client’s Experiential team with responsibility of building the creative and design offering of the newly developed team and overseeing all of its creative and strategic output. The Creative Director needs to be a dynamic leader, mentor and team player that will breed a culture of best-in-class creativity to develop the vision of client and agency objectives.


  • Develops the creative strategy and innovative solutions to solve client marketing and communication challenges
  • Responsible for the strategic and creative direction of the Experiential Team
  • Manages the art direction of studio output (scamps through to artwork)
  • Responsible for the development and writing of presentation decks (in PowerPoint)
  • Oversees all copywriting and proofing (though this is minimal)
  • Succinct at rationalizing work to the brief
  • Comfortable at presenting to clients and media partners as well as agency teams
  • Championing great ideas from any area of the business
  • Creates a positive, collaborative, teamwork environment based on the company culture and values
  • Promotes a team environment and provides work direction and guidance including coaching, professional development and training; guides team on deliverables, and ensures best practices with project management
  • Understands the landscape for each client’s business/sector as well as the media context for their investments
  • Builds cutting edge strategic plans for clients to meet/exceed objectives
  • Thinks daily about business development and new revenue opportunities with existing clients and potential clients
  • Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed and quality standards are met
  • Uses forward thinking initiative to identify the next best strategic opportunities that continue to deliver top results to the client
  • Remains involved in the production phase to ensure creative integrity; be a creative resource to the team as client needs or budgets change, and further develop the relationship with the client



  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years relevant experience (preferably in the experiential, sports and entertainment field)
  • Experience of leading, presenting and winning pitches
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; advanced skills in PowerPoint for deck development
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Must possess excellent time management skills and have a sense of urgency; proven ability to work on multiple projects at any given time
  • Must have gravitas to present and communicate with senior clients
  • Must be able to think strategically
  • Must be able to write and bring a vision to life through the art of language and communication, both verbal and visual
  • Excellent creative and artistic presentation skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and be flexible enough to react under stressful circumstances

Essential Functions:

  • Should be able to recognize good Art Direction and Design and give input and direction on how to get to it
  • Should be well versed in all social media and be able to speak knowledgeably about it
  • Should have good working knowledge and understanding of the following software: PowerPoint, Keynote, Photoshop, InDesign and illustrator
  • High-level writing skills with proven experience with development and writing copy on different platforms (i.e. PowerPoint, Video, etc…)
  • Basic scamping ability
  • Art Director background preferred but not essential
