OCAD University is turning 135!
OCAD is celebrating their 135thbirthday with a full day of events on Saturday, October 29th. Join faculty, students and alumni at the OCAD open house from 11:00am-2:00pm for studio tours, a chance to talk with students and staff, and a glimpse of emerging art and design trends. From 4-6pm you can join in a toast and have some cake while you enjoy Joyce and Paul Chapnick’s exhibition which features highlights from the OCAD University Community.
PechaKucha Night Toronto
PechaKucha is trying something a little different from the usual events and will be held at Ossington area bar The Garrison on November 3rdat 8:00pm. Design + Think + Passion is the theme of the night, although presenters are also given the choice to surprise the audience with a topic of their own. Admission is $5.00 and can be paid at the door. Presentations will begin at 8:20pm.
Notable Awards
Celebrate your community’s most driven young professionals and their achievements at the first ever Notable Awards. Andrew Richards Designs will host the event on Thursday, November 10that 8:00pm. Raise a glass with the 13 new Notables and guests and enjoy drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a keynote address by ING Direct’s CEO Peter Aceto on how young professionals can be entrepreneurial within their organization. Creative Niche’s Notables, Sharon Alderson, Recruitment Lead has been nominated in the Future Builders category, here’s why we think you should vote for Sharon.
