Our client in Northeast Nova Scotia has an exciting growth opportunity for a senior-level Print Production Manger with exceptional client servicing skills.

This position plays a key role in growing site volume and revenues by providing professional consultative services relating to all print and electronic documents. You are a subject matter expert, in one or more of the following areas: Transactional Communication Services, Document Publishing and Production, Document Supply Chain Management and Forms and Fulfillment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develops relationships with end-user clients to understand their key documents.

  • Promote services capabilities and look for opportunities to drive/build incremental revenue with assigned client(s)

  • Manage and lead a team of 8 to 10 made up of graphic designers and project managers

  • Provides direction, monitors work quality and resolves production problems with contracted suppliers and creative agencies

  • Develops and maintains Business Unit relationships, works with the Business Unit Document owners to meet document production needs

  • Develops strategies for all print and electronic documents through value added solutions on print production/demand management - identifies and develops unique and creative document solutions

  • Develops and presents new and innovative solutions to key Business Unit decision makers

  • Identifies and develops digital document opportunities to implement with team

  • Utilizes technology tools to enable cost savings and achievement of strategic objectives

  • Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction and resolves all customer complaints (i.e. quality, cost or delivery)

  • Coordinates and assembles all post-production job costing paperwork in preparation for billing cycle

  • Meet/exceed specific activity and performance targets for revenue, call activity and customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

This position requires advanced knowledge of all concepts, practices and procedures of the Graphics Communications discipline. Experience is required in all areas of printing. This includes job/file design, use of industry standard design applications, file preparation and pre-press and in-depth knowledge of print methodologies (including web, litho, and digital) in addition to finishing, warehousing and fulfillment.

  • Community College or Post Secondary education

  • Previous work experience in Graphic Communications / Print Industry

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required

  • Previous work experience in customer service / sales function /production and project management

  • PC and Office Software skills required including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
