Project Coordinator, Web & Marketing – Ottawa, Canada | Contract

Excellent contract opportunity to join one of Canada’s Crown corporations as a Project Coordinator for a three-month opportunity starting in July, 2019, onsite at their location in the heart of downtown Ottawa.

This role reports to the head of Brand and Web, and will be assisting in project management and consolidation of work for the key stakeholders across multiple teams across the organization on a daily and weekly basis.  You will be tasked with ensuring projects are delivered on time, and assisting team members as needed to ensure deliverables are met. 

As a key member of the team, responsibilities will include providing project management and coordination from concept to final delivery, scopes SOW (Statement of Work) and project requirements, prepares detailed schedules and work plans for each initiative; QA on all projects which you are tasked with; assist with daily content publishing tasks; provides website metric reporting and advises on SEO strategies and recommendations on improvement.

What you bring to the team:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role with key focus in digital and web based deliverables (ie Digital Marketing Coordinator, Web Marketing Coordinator, etc)
  • Experienced in contributing to the development of strategies on project deliverables, scope and timeline as well as providing creative problem solving solutions as required
  • Minimum 3 years’ project managing complex multi-channel digital projects in an agile context, with experience working in different disciplines such as content, design, marketing, development
  • Prior experience in project management and related tools such as MS Project, Wrike, etc.
  • Prior experience in working in a web coordination role focused on front-end development and web publishing including the integration of graphics, video, podcasts; and skilled in CSS, HTML, JavaScript, W3C standards for web usability and accessibility, UX and web writing best practices and procedures in an agile environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Certification in Google and Adobe Analytics a bonus
  • Familiar with CMS tools in different environments
  • Comfortable updating web content, scheduling, reporting on project updates, etc.
  • Comfortable speaking in both English and French languages (bilingual audiences)
